Water heating is a heat transfer process that uses an energy source to heat water above its initial temperature. Appliances that provide a continual supply of hot water are called water heaters, hot water heaters, hot water tanks, boilers, heat exchangers or calorifiers.
Plumbing and Heating
Plumbing is any system for a broad range of applications that transmits fluids. In order to move fluids, plumbing utilises tubing, valves, plumbing fixtures, tanks, and other equipment. Among the most common uses for plumbing are heating and cooling (HVAC), waste disposal, and drinking water supply, although it is not limited to these applications. The word derives from the Latin for lead, plumbum, as lead pipes were the first powerful pipes used in the Roman period. Plumbing infrastructure is important for public health and sanitation in the developing world. Boilermakers and pipefitters are not plumbers, but as part of their trade they deal with piping and some plumbing can be included in their work.
