About our quote process

Book a free consultation and Phil Mitch will visit your property to discuss what possibilities there are for a loft conversion at your property, what you would like to achieve with your loft conversion and what your budget is. You are also welcome to discuss any other work you would like done. Phil & Mitch will follow up with an itemised quote so that you know what the project will cost and won’t get any nasty surprises. There is no obligation to agree to work and you won’t be pressured to make a decision.

What to consider when planning a loft conversion

Who will be in my house?

Phil and Mitch are the main members of the Elite Builders London team, they are on-site through most of the loft build. Our other tradespeople are trusted and experienced colleagues who have worked with us for many years. Our clients often tell us how comfortable they have felt having the team in the house working around their families.

Will there be a mess?

You can stay in your home while Elite Builders London convert your loft. We appreciate that family life carries on; we respect your home, endeavour to minimise the disruption and always tidy up after ourselves.

How long will it take?

Loft conversions usually take from four to 18 weeks. Phil will discuss a timescale with you at your consultation. We don’t make promises we can’t keep so our schedules are realistic and reliable.

Do I need my own architect?

if you already have plans, we’re happy to work with those. If not, Elite Builders London design and build service includes professional architect plans.

How much will it cost?

In most cases loft conversions are cheaper than extensions and far cheaper than moving home. After your consultation, our loft builders Phil and Mitch will provide an itemised quote. Unless your requirements change, you can rely on this quote – there won’t be charges for extras or any unexpected costs.

Will I need planning permission?

Most loft conversions do not require planning permission. In rare cases, the roof structure may need to be removed and replaced. This may require planning permission and Elite Builders London will advise you on this.

Is my loft suitable?

Most loft spaces and attics are suitable for conversion; their size, shape and structure will dictate the types of loft conversion you can choose from. Phil and Mitch can discuss options with you at a no-obligation consultation.
